"Timelinefy" is a company that operates and is dedicated to providing knowledge experiences based on, among others, systematized and organized timelines.
Despite our fiscal framework (SME), "Timelinefy" is committed to protecting the personal data of Customers / Users of products and services provided, as well as the personal data of the respective owners in all situations where personal data processing occurs, in this context, this Policy was drafted, which underlies its commitment to respect the rules of protection of personal data.
Why this personal data protection policy?
This Policy is intended to inform the Clients / Users of the general rules for the processing of personal data.
The "Timelinefy" respects the best practices in the in knowledge of security and protection of personal data, having for this purpose taken the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to comply with the GDPR, as far as we are concerned, and to ensure that any data processing personal data is lawful, loyal, transparent and limited to authorized purposes.
The "Timelinefy" is committed to the protection and confidentiality of personal data and has adopted the measures it deems appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of personal data, as well as all other rights of their owners.
What does this data protection policy cover?
This Data Protection Policy applies exclusively to the possible collection and processing of personal data for which "Timelinefy" is responsible for their processing, within the scope of the services and products made available to its Clients/Users and in all situations where a processing of personal data by "Timelinefy" occurs, namely, through social intervention and development support actions.
The "Timelinefy" website may include links to other websites that are not or do not belong to "Timelinefy". The provision of such links is made in good faith and "Timelinefy" cannot be held responsible for the collection and processing of personal data made through these websites, nor does "Timelinefy" assume any responsibility in relation to such websites, including their accuracy, credibility and functionality provided on them.
What is personal data?
Personal data is any information of any nature and regardless of its medium, including sound and image, relating to an identified or identifiable private person.
An identifiable private person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to a name, an identification number, location data, electronic identifiers or one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
Processing of personal data
Where the processing of personal data occurs, it shall consist of an operation or set of operations which is performed upon personal data or sets of personal data, whether or not by automatic means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, dissemination, comparison, interconnection, limitation, erasure or destruction.
The data controller?
Although our commercial nature and fiscal status (PME-Pt) do not oblige us to maintain a data protection officer (DPO), out of respect for your privacy and experience with our products we will maintain a line of contact for matters relating to personal data.
What kinds of personal data are processed?
The "Timelinefy", within the scope of its activities, may process personal data necessary for the provision of services and/or supply, as well as, at the social intervention level, processing data such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, according to the more detailed and requested information made available to the owners of personal data.
Without prejudice to compliance with the legal rules on the storage and transmission of data for the purpose of investigation, detection, prosecution of serious crimes, as well as other processing to which it is legally bound, traffic data, geographical location, profile and/or consumption of the Client/Users will be processed by "Timelinefy", to the extent that they are necessary for the respective provision of services. Thus, based on location, profile and/or consumption, the Customer/User will have access, namely, to specific functionalities of the services, to content suggestions and to information services of proximity or similar.
Location information may also be recorded and transmitted to organisations with legal competence to receive emergency calls, if required or necessary.
Personal data, traffic, geographic location, profile and/or consumption data are also processed for marketing purposes or the dissemination of offers of goods or services of "Timelinefy", with the purpose of improving the "Timelinefy" experience, if the respective owner has authorized it.
If prior consent of the Client/User exists, it may be withdrawn at any time, without, however, the lawfulness of the treatment carried out on the basis of the previously given consent being compromised.
When and how do we collect your personal data?
The "Timelinefy" collects your personal data through its website and through the Client area, guaranteeing, whenever necessary, the prior consent of the owner of the personal data.
Some personal data may be indispensable to the execution of the contract and, in case of lack or insufficiency of them, "Timelinefy" will not be able to provide the product or service in question.
The personal data collected may be processed on computer and in an automated or non-automated way, in all cases guaranteeing strict compliance with personal data protection legislation, and will be stored in specific databases created for this purpose, and under no circumstances will the data collected be used for any purpose other than that for which it was collected or for which the consent of the data subject was given.
Who are the recipients of personal data?
Without prejudice to the recipients indicated throughout this Data Protection Policy, "Timelinefy" may communicate the personal data of the Customer/User, with the purpose of complying with legal obligations, namely to police, judicial, tax and regulatory entities, whenever requested.
What are the purposes of processing personal data and their legal grounds?
In general, the personal data collected are based on and intended for the management of the contractual relationship, the provision of the contracted services, the adequacy of the services to the needs and interests of the Client/User, namely for the purposes of access to specific functionalities of the services, suggestions of content, proximity information services, information and marketing actions, as well as the inclusion of the Client/User in client lists/directories.
In addition, personal data may also be processed for the purpose of complying with legal obligations and for the investigation, detection and prosecution of serious crimes.
Without prejudice to the additional information provided at the time of data collection, "Timelinefy" may also, provided it is legally admissible, use the personal data provided by the owner for other purposes, such as for social intervention actions, sending complaints and suggestions, dissemination of institutional information of the Group and/or making known campaigns, promotions, advertising and news about "Timelinefy" products and/or services, as well as for market research or evaluation surveys.
How long do we keep your personal data?
The period of time for which personal data are stored and retained varies according to the purpose for which the information is processed. Indeed, there are legal requirements that require data to be kept for a minimum period of time. Therefore, and where there is no specific legal requirement, data will be stored and retained only for the period necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or further processed, as defined by law.
What are your rights as a data subject?
As owners of personal data, Customers/Users are guaranteed, at any time, the right to access, rectify, update, limit and delete their personal data, the right to object to their use for commercial purposes by "Timelinefy" and to withdraw consent, without this compromising the lawfulness of the processing carried out under this consent, as well as the right to data portability.
How can you access, rectify, update, limit, delete, oppose the processing of your personal data, or remove consent?
Without prejudice to the legal provisions applied, the owner of the personal data may do so, directly or by written request, addressed to the respective officer responsible for treatment management, through the contacts provided for this purpose in this document, as well as other contacts provided by "Timelinefy", identified above.
How can you oppose to receiving contacts for marketing purposes?
"Timelinefy" may promote actions of disclosure to its Customers/Users, of new products, functionalities or services, namely through e-mail, SMS, MMS or any other electronic communications service, in case the owner of the personal data has given the respective consent. If the owner of the personal data does not wish to continue receiving these communications, he may, at any time, withdraw his consent to the use of his data for marketing purposes.
How can you complain?
Without prejudice of being able to present complaints directly to "Timelinefy", through the contacts made available for this purpose, the Customer/User can complain directly to the responsible public authorities, using the contacts made available by this entity for this purpose.
What are the measures adopted by "timelinefy" to ensure the security of your personal data?
The "Timelinefy" is committed to ensuring the protection of the security of personal data made available to it, having approved and implemented strict rules on this matter. Compliance with these rules is an obligation of all those who legally access them.
In addition, third parties who, within the scope of providing services, process the personal data of the Customer/User on behalf and for the account of "Timelinefy", are obliged, to implement appropriate technical and security measures which, at all times, meet the requirements laid down in current legislation and ensure the protection of the rights of the data owner (namely, the protection of the privacy and personal data of Customers/Users).
In this sense, on "Timelinefy" website, the forms for collecting personal data require encrypted sessions of the Browser and all personal data provided are stored securely on "Timelinefy" systems, which in turn are in a "Timelinefy" Datacenter, under cover of all physical and logical security measures that "Timelinefy" considered indispensable for the protection of personal data.
Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by "Timelinefy", the "Timelinefy" warns all those who browse the Internet that they should adopt additional security measures, namely, ensure that they use a PC and a Browser updated in terms of properly configured security patches, with active firewall, antivirus and anti-spyware and that they should make sure the authenticity of the sites they visit on the Internet, and should avoid websites whose reputation they do not trust.
Under what circumstances is data communicated to other entities (third parties and subcontractors)?
The "Timelinefy" may use third parties for the provision of certain services in the course of its business. Sometimes, the provision of these services implies access by these entities to personal data of Customers / Users. When this happens, "Timelinefy" takes the appropriate measures in order to ensure that the entities that have access to the data are reputable and offer the highest guarantees at this level, which is duly enshrined and contractually safeguarded between "Timelinefy" and the third entity(ies). Thus, any entity subcontracted by "Timelinefy", when opposed, will process the personal data of our Customers/Users, on behalf and for the account of "Timelinefy" and adopting the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to protect the personal data against accidental or illicit destruction, accidental loss, alteration, diffusion or unauthorized access and against any other form of illicit treatment.
Under what circumstances do we transfer your personal data?
The provision of certain services by "Timelinefy" may involve the transfer of your data outside Portugal, including outside the European Union or to International Organisations. In such case, "Timelinefy" will strictly comply with the applicable legal provisions, in particular as regards the determination of the adequacy of the destination country(ies) with regard to the protection of personal data and the requirements applicable to such transfers, including, where applicable, the conclusion of the appropriate contractual instruments that guarantee and respect the legal requirements in force.
